Mole & Cyst Removal
Among the many routine procedures performed at MMS is the removal of cysts, moles, and skin tags. These growths are extremely common on the body and face, and, though generally benign, they can be annoying, uncomfortable and even embarrassing. Cysts, moles and skin tags can be removed quickly and simply on an outpatient basis.

The removal procedure involves the following steps:
-
First, a local anesthetic is applied or injected.
-
The mole or cyst is removed by simple excision, which may require a few stitches depending on the size. Skin tags can often be snipped off. In the majority of mole and cyst cases, the whole procedure normally takes no more than 20 minutes.
-
Normally there is little or no recuperation time for skin tag, mole, or cyst removal. If stitches are applied, you will need to return in approximately 10 days for removal - a painless and quick procedure.
