IMG 0657Otolaryngologists, or ENT physicians, are physicians that are trained to manage and treat patients with conditions or diseases of the ear, nose and throat and other areas of the neck and head. They diagnosis, manage and treat conditions related to the ear, nose, sinuses, larnyx, throat, mouth, neck and face.

Some of the most common conditions we treat include:

Ears

Conditions that impair ear function can be as minor as wax buildup or as serious as congenital deafness.

  • Disorders of the hearing bones
  • Congenital deformities (lop ear, pits )
  • Cysts and tumors
  • Skin cancers
  • Ear wax
  • External ear canal problems
  • Hearing Loss
  • Vertigo & balance disorders
  • Ringing in ears (tinnitus)
  • Fluid/recurrent infections
  • Ear tubes
  • Ear drum perforations

Throat

Maladies of the throat can be a mere nuisance or a major ordeal. Tonsillitis, voice disorders, and even hoarseness all interfere with our ability to communicate. Many of these conditions can be improved or corrected with the care of an ENT physician or head and neck surgeon.

  • Recurrent sore throats
  • Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy
  • Swallowing problems
  • Hoarseness
  • Laryngitis
  • Vocal nodules
  • Voice Problems
  • Throat cancer

Nose & Mouth

Congestion, allergic rhinitis, a deviated septum, and mouth sores are just a few of the varied health problems that occur in this region of the body.

  • Nasal allergies
  • Recurrent sinus infections
  • Sinusitis
  • Sinus Surgery
  • Balloon Sinuplasty
  • Nasal obstruction
  • Nasal polyps
  • Nosebleeds
  • Cosmetic nasal surgery
  • Deviated Septum

Head & Neck

Many surgical advances are being made in this area. Procedures such as tonsillectomy and facial plastic surgery are becoming less invasive, and new procedures are being developed to treat serious problems such as cleft palate, sleep apnea, and deafness.

  • Skin tumors
  • Treatment of thyroid and parathyroid tumors
  • Diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea
  • Treatment of upper airway obstruction
  • Snoring

Cancer

Early detection is critical to preventing fatal outcomes. Cancers of the head and neck such as laryngeal cancer can be particularly aggressive. Signs of cancer of the head and neck include changes in the skin, pain, prolonged hoarseness, and sudden loss of voice. If you suffer from any of these symptoms you should see an ENT or head and neck physician immediately.

  • Tumors of the mouth and voice box
  • Tumors of the salivary glands
  • Oral Cancer

Pediatric

Children face many of the same health problems that adults do, however symptoms may show themselves differently and treatment methods that work well in adults may not be appropriate for children.

  • Ear Problems and Injuries, Age 11 and Younger
  • Evaluating your child’s hearing

Over time, natural fat begins to deteriorate, resulting in sagging skin, more prominent wrinkles, smaller lips, and a reduction of volume. Facial fillers provide a solution through facial injections. Juvéderm® and RHA products help eliminate wrinkles, plump and hydrate lips, minimize creases and folds of the face, and replace volume loss.
